What time zones do the most work in the world? If you said New York time you’d be surprised to see that 13 hours ahead in China who’s country only has one time zone has 1.41 billion people at any given time living and working on this time. India who is 9.5 hours ahead of us here on the east coast has approximately 1.37 billion people working and while Eastern Standard Time has a population of 375 million people between USA, Canada, Latin America, and parts of the carribbean it’s only 1/4th of the total people working in the UTC+8 time zone.

1. China Standard Time (UTC+8): According to the World Bank, the estimated population of China as of 2022 is approximately 1.41 billion people.

2. India Standard Time (UTC+5:30): According to the World Bank, the estimated population of India as of 2022 is approximately 1.37 billion people.

3. Eastern Standard Time (UTC−5): According to the United Nations, the estimated population of the Eastern Standard Time zone region (which includes the United States, Canada, and parts of Central and South America) is approximately 375 million people.

4. Central European Time (UTC+1): According to the United Nations, the estimated population of the Central European Time zone region (which includes most of Western Europe) is approximately 415 million people.

5. Japan Standard Time (UTC+9): According to the World Bank, the estimated population of Japan as of 2022 is approximately 126 million people.

It’s worth noting that these population estimates are subject to change and may differ slightly depending on the source of the data and that some people in the USA may work on Asia time zones and many in China & India do work based on hours in the USA but to figure that exact number would be impossible and would still account for a small enough % of the population that the data would not be skewed.
