60 Wrong Sausages — Ever Heard of This Band? It eventually became Weezer
What’s in a name? Well Rivers Cuomo in 1991 was coming up with a band name and it was related to one of their singles “The Wrong Sausage”. One of the band members exclaimed it can’t be about just 1 incorrect sausage. It needs to be something like 60 wrong sausages.. Thus the band name 60 Wrong Sausages was born and shortly there after played it’s only show at the Phoenix Theater in California.
The bands breakup was inevitable but the Phoenix that rose from the ashes created the group Weezer. So how important is a name in a band, movie, business, or in general?
If Weezer created the same music but had the name 60 Wrong Sausages would they still have the same level of fame and notoriety as they do today? Yelp was named in relation to the Yellow Pages but to sound like an adjective.
