During an IAPP event they discussed the new Florida Data Privacy Laws. Here’s the synopsis for those who missed the event.
New Florida Data Privacy Law targets companies doing Greater than 1 billion in revenue and those targeted advertising not going after cupcake stores in Florida but big tech and an approach similar to COPPA to protect children in Florida. It’s not just 12 and under. Protect children from online spaces act. Doesnt target Disney & Publix as Florida based companies. Data that respects states lines and sensitive data.
